Country garden in Old Bursledon
Nestled in a home with breathtaking views, this garden now complements the house’s elegance. We designed a charming courtyard with large parterres featuring multi-stem amelanchiers, and clay brick paving that echoes the house’s roof details.
Leading from the courtyard, a lovely seating area surrounded by spacious planting beds and light porcelain flooring is offset by grey clay pavers in a herringbone pattern, creating a sophisticated look. The kitchen, which once overlooked an unsightly chicken area with picket fencing, now boasts a delightful focal point. We transformed this space with a custom-made metal fence and a charming archway adorned with climbers.
The garden’s natural curves inspired flowing borders between the house and the swimming pool. We planted over 1,500 plants, including multi-stem crab apples, cornus, acer, prunus, silver birch, and pyrus chanticleer, adding height, texture and colour throughout the year.
